The Ralli Museum – oasis of culture on Marbella’s Golden Mile

You may not have spotted it, even if you regularly find yourself on the Golden Mile, but the glamorous boulevard that links Marbella town and Puerto Banús is home to a pleasant, cultural surprise.

You may well be aware that the Golden Mile is home to the Marbella Club and Puente Romano hotels, a championship tennis club and concert venue, gourmet dining, boutique shopping, health and beauty spas, beach clubs and a whole list of shops and services, but did you know that there is also a museum here?

If not, don’t feel bad, for the Ralli Museum is one of the best-kept secrets in Marbella. Why is this so? Well, I guess it’s because this is an exclusive, non-commercial venue that doesn’t make a big song and dance about itself. Maybe it should, because this elegant museum discreetly tucked away near the sea at the Puerto Banús entrance to the Golden Mile certainly has a lot to shout about.

Top art exhibitions in Marbella
So, just down the road from our own Move Projects offices there is a museum of international standing, with an amazingly good permanent collection of art by the likes of Salvador Dali, Miró and other artists from across Spain and Latin America in particular. The displays include paintings and sculptures set within a stylish art gallery with cool, elegant marble rooms.

It forms part of sister museums in Punta del Este (Uruguay), Santiago de Chile (Chile) and Caesarea (Israel), and in addition to exchanging art collections between one another, the museums also attract exhibitions from top international artists, including contemporary ones.

Created by Harry and Martine Recanati, the Ralli Museum Marbella is a true cultural joy in our midst, and a great place to spend a few hours in a wonderfully peaceful and inspiring setting, so visit it next time you’re coming this way – you won’t be disappointed.

Look out for new exhibitions and events!
